Officers responded to the 11700 block of Fair Oaks Shopping Center in Fair Lakes on Jan. 16 at approximately 4:44 p.m. after a victim reported her 2013 Hyundai had been stolen by a known suspect, county police said. Detectives from the Auto Crimes Enforcement (ACE) Unit assisted with the investigation.
At 7:52 p.m., officers located the stolen Hyundai in the 6000 block of Freds Oak Road in Burke. Two men were inside the vehicle and were taken into custody. Police recovered two illegal firearms and narcotics from the scene.
Daniel Shuford, 18, of Chantilly, was charged with Destruction of Property, Possession of Schedule IV Narcotics, Carrying a Loaded Firearm in Public Places Where Prohibited, and Carrying a Concealed Firearm. He was transported to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center and later released on bond.
Timothy Ndahiriwe, 19, of Fairfax, was charged with Possession of a Machine Gun, Carrying a Loaded Firearm in Public Places Where Prohibited, and Carrying a Concealed Firearm. He was transported to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center, where he is being held on a $20,000 bond.
